Prioritizing The Kingdom Above All

Matthew 6:33

አማርኛ · Ethiopian tradition

ነገር ግን አስቀድማችሁ የእግዚአብሔርን መንግሥት ጽድቁንም ፈልጉ፥ እነዚህም ሁሉ ይጨመሩላችኋል።

Amharic — traditional Ethiopian rendering

Modern English

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

King James Version (public domain)

Your days are often filled with an endless parade of concerns—finances, relationships, and future plans. It is easy for these necessary responsibilities to consume your focus until they become the center of your universe. However, there is a different way to live. By shifting your priority to seek the kingdom of God first, you place everything else in its proper order. This means aligning your daily choices with His righteousness and seeking His presence before you tackle your list of chores. When you put the King at the center, the peripheral worries lose their ability to paralyze you. He promises that when you seek His reign, He will provide for all your needs. It is an invitation to trust His economy rather than your own efforts. Breathe deeply, place your anxieties at His feet, and let Him lead your path with His perfect, abundant provision.

Prayer

Lord, I choose to seek Your kingdom as my highest priority today. Help me to trust that when I put Your righteousness first, You will take care of every detail of my life. Remove my anxieties about tomorrow and give me the peace of Your presence right now.

Today's declaration

I seek God's kingdom first, trusting Him to provide everything I truly need.

PEACE

For people who are now enlightened after an experience with Jesus Christ. A quiet daily word, carried from the ancient church to the morning you are living now.
