Revelation 21:4
አማርኛ · Ethiopian tradition
Amharic — traditional Ethiopian rendering
Modern English
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
King James Version (public domain)
In the midst of the grief and challenges of this present world, it is vital to hold onto the vision of the future that God has promised. There is a day coming when every ache, every disappointment, and every tear will be gently erased by the hand of the Creator. This is not just a distant dream; it is the anchor for your soul today. Even now, in your current struggles, you can experience a foretaste of that comfort. You are never mourning alone, for Jesus carries your sorrows with you. The former things—your past pains and failures—are losing their power as you move toward the restoration He has prepared. Keep your heart directed toward that final victory. Even when the world feels broken, you carry the hope of a perfected existence where only love and eternal peace remain forever.
Prayer
Gracious God, thank You for the promise that You will one day wipe away every tear. When I experience pain today, remind me that it is only temporary. I place my sorrow in Your hands, trusting that You are making all things new. I hope in Your eternal future.
Today's declaration
God will wipe away every tear and I rest in the hope of eternity.
