Amharic — traditional Ethiopian rendering

Modern English

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

King James Version (public domain)

Fear is a natural human reaction to the unknown, but it is not your master. This verse is a profound reminder of God’s active commitment to your life. He does not just promise to be there; He promises to be the source of your strength, your active help, and your unwavering support. When you feel dismayed or discouraged, realize that God is not a distant observer of your plight. He is engaged, sustaining you with the power of His righteousness. His right hand is reaching out to hold you steady when your own strength fails. You do not need to walk through this day alone or rely solely on your own resolve. Lean into the truth that the Creator of all things is your personal defender. Let His promise dismantle your fears and replace them with the confidence that you are being upheld by the Almighty.

Prayer

Lord, when fear tries to take root in my heart, remind me that You are right here. Thank You for promising to strengthen, help, and uphold me. I release my anxiety and trust that I am securely held in Your righteous right hand today. Amen.

Today's declaration

I do not fear because God strengthens and upholds me with His hand.

PEACE

For people who are now enlightened after an experience with Jesus Christ. A quiet daily word, carried from the ancient church to the morning you are living now.
